Day 1. Sunday, September 29: Depart from USA
Depart from USA for reaching Italy.
Day 2. Monday, September 30: ROME/SIENA
This morning you arrive in Rome Airport and meet your Tour Manager. Transfer by private motor coach to the Medieval hilltop town of Orvieto. Upon arrival, celebrate Mass at the Duomo, followed by a guided tour to learn about the Eucharistic Miracle of Corpus Christi. Afterwards, visit San Domenico in Orvieto where Thomas Aquinas lived and wrote the Mass for Corpus Christi in response to the Eucharistic Miracle. Venerate relics of St. Thomas Aquinas: his chair and the Crucifix from which Christ spoke to him "You have written well of me, Thomas." In the late afternoon, continue to Siena for hotel check-in. This evening, enjoy a Welcome Dinner before overnight in Siena. (D)
Day 3. Tuesday, October 1: SIENA
After breakfast at the hotel, celebrate Mass at Saint Francis Basilica, which is the site of the Eucharistic Miracle. After Mass, visit the Basilica of St. Dominic to venerate St. Catherine’s relic, the sites pertaining to her life in Siena, and the magnificent Duomo. Your guided tour includes the exploration of Piazza del Campo, one of the most beautiful squares in all of Italy. The rest of the day is at leisure. Dinner and overnight in Siena. (B, D)
Day 4. Wednesday, October 2: SIENA/ASSISI
After breakfast, depart for Assisi, the City of Peace. Upon arrival, celebrate Mass at St. Mary of the Angels Basilica and see the famous Porziuncola where the Franciscan order began. In the afternoon check-in to your hotel. Dinner and overnight in Assisi. (B, D)
Day 5. Thursday, October 3: ASSISI
This morning, take a guided visit of the Basilica of St. Francis and celebrate Mass. Then, visit the tomb of Blessed Carlo Acutis to learn about the sanctified life of this beatified and incorruptible millennial. Continue with a walking tour of the City of Peace and end at the Church of St. Clare to see her incorruptible body and the Cross of San Damiano, which spoke to St. Francis. The evening is on your own for prayer and sharing of graces before dinner. Overnight in Assisi. (B, D)
Day 6. Friday, October 4: LORETO/MANOPPELLO/LANCIANO
This morning, depart for Loreto for visiting the Marian Shrine of Loreto and the Holy House of Nazareth. See the beautiful Madonna of Loreto where more than 50 popes have traveled on pilgrimage and then Celebrate Mass. Enjoy your lunch in Loreto before continuing to Manoppello. Upon arrival, visit the beautiful town and see the image of the Holy Face in the Church of the Volto Santo di Manoppello. Continue to Lanciano for dinner and overnight (B, L, D)
Day 7. Saturday, October 5: LANCIANO
This morning, enjoy a visit of Lanciano: see the famous 8th century Eucharistic Miracle in the Church of St. Francis. You can still see the bread and wine that is now preserved in the form of flesh and blood. The remainder of the day is on your own for private devotion. Dinner and overnight in Lanciano. (B, D)
Day 8. Sunday, October 6: ROME
This morning, depart for the Eternal City of Rome! In the afternoon, enjoy a walking tour of Caravaggio’s paintings as well as Roman monuments, like the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, and the Trevi Fountain. Dinner and overnight in our Rome hotel. (B, D)
Day 9. Monday, October 7: ROME
This morning, take a guided tour of the magnificent Church and Square of St. Peter. Following Mass, enjoy a guided tour of the Vatican, including the Vatican Museum and the Sistine Chapel, where you will view some of the most inspiring works of art, including Michelangelo’s magnificent fresco of the Last Judgement. Afternoon at your leisure. Dinner and overnight in Rome. (B, D)
Day 10. Tuesday, October 8: ROME
Begin the day with Mass and a Christian Rome tour, including St. Mary Major and St. John in Lateran, the Cathedral of Rome. Explore the Holy Steps, once climbed by Christ in Jerusalem, and the Basilica of the Holy Cross, housing precious Christian relics including a piece of the True Cross, thorns, and nails. Afterwards, continue to the catacombs of San Callixtus for a guided tour. Afternoon at leisure. Farewell dinner to conclude the Eucharistic Revival pilgrimage. Overnight in Rome. (B, D)
Day 11. Wednesday, October 9: Depart Rome / Arrive in USA
This morning, check out of the hotel and depart for the Rome Airport for your flights to the USA. (B)
